Most of us underestimated, the rage that so many Americans feel about the Democrats. And we overestimated our ability to get through to folks about the dangers of a Trump presidency.
This feels like one of those moments in a strained marriage, when one spouse says: “Let’s get to know each other again.”
For journalists, that means getting out there and finding out who lives on our beats and how they want to be reached.
