ALEC LABS
Top Story: Your State: An ALEC Lab
With Trump busy grabbing power, on the federal level, and blaming Ukraine for the Russian invasion of its country, he doesn’t have a lot of time to focus on your state.
But lucky him; he’s got ALEC, the generously-funded right-wing bill mill, filled with big Trump allies.
And…shocker, ALEC is already making plans in your state, which it fondly refers to as one of its "50 laboratories.”
These plans — to push bills that will cut gas and oil regulations, privatize more public schools, slash taxes so local roads and services don’t work, and kneecap more unions — may well shock dumfounded Democrats. But they shouldn't be a surprise to us journalists.
You can read the actual plans HERE.

Find even more background on ALEC below:
The American Legislative Exchange Council is a right-wing bill mill that writes right-wing legislation then convenes state legislators to meetings, where they are taught how to turn that legislation into law.
Here are some of the things ALEC wants to do:
Discourage recycling by banning corporate mandates.
Thwart efforts to combat misinformation.
Give parents who send their kids to charter schools or voucher schools an income tax credit.
